Christmas star

Post by MacroLuv »

Actually Euphorbia pulcherrima named also as Poinsettia after Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first United States ambassador to Mexico, who introduced the plant in the U.S. in 1825.
Other common names are Christmas star, Winter rose, Noche Buena...
Proper photographs to wish a Merry Chistmas and Happy New Year to All People and Aliens of Good Will. No matter when/or/if they celebrate, only good will and friendly behavior does matter. :D
Yours pets are included. Especial greetings to Georg's Layla and Sonny.

Happy Holidays to all my friends on the forums :smt023 "HOPING for PEACE ON EARTH"
I have a Poinsettia right next to me at this very moment (work) Now because of Nikola (yes, very beautiful photos), I have some interesting info to spread around "like I know Something"

Thanks folks! :D
If correctly bred, Poinsettia could be in good condition for the next season.

Surprising how many people still think the red bracts (coloured leaves) are the flowers Nikola. Your photo shows just how insignificant the flowers really are, just those little yellow-green knobs at the centre. Very beautiful pictures by the way. It's a bit late for Christmas now so Happy New Year to everybody.
