Bee on yellow bottle...

Post by crocoite »

Finished work a couple of hours early today and decided to have a wander around the paddock that the hay has just been cut and baled in. Took this shot just inside my neighbors paddock. Bee is a bit soft, but a nice shot of a yellow bottlebrush flower (callistemon species).

Bottle brush? Seems as though I have seen these before but did not know what they were. Yes, the bee is a bit soft but a nice photograph just the same. :D

I don`t see why they call it that. The bee may be soft but the flower has lots of detail for sure

They call it a bottle brush Doug because it looks like the brushes made for cleaning out the inside of bottles! :) I presume therefore you do not have brushes for this purpose in the USA? :? See:-
