That's a really nice looking and unique watch there Paul.

Ken..Yeah, I only just changed the battery in this the other day after many years. But as you see, the watch is showing signs of age with all the scratches and the buttons don't work well anymore. I might go to an anolog watch again. I've seem some really elegant ones about lately.

Those are pretty fancy looking watches guys (pp & Carl). We see where all the nice stuff ends up. The guys, we have to wear what we can scrape up and the gals get the good stuff.

Here is my wife's watch. It was given to her when she was just a little girl, by her grandmother. No, she hasn't worn it in quite a while.

Too true :)

This is mine - a combo.
Watch is a £10 -12 job - outlasted the (plastic) straps - but still worked fine.
Went upmarket for the next / last (£17) and bought the cheapest with s/s strap - and a strap lug gave way a couple of weeks ago.
Took the good bits off both and ended up with this - possibly unique? :)

(Tried the decent / 'better quality' route once - and it got stuck between my daughter (whilst holding her) and the side of a helter skelter - couldn't move my wrist - got ripped off and bits all over the place ... probably would've been my wrist instead if it'd been a 'really' good / solid one? :) )

You know Casio makes a good time piece, a lot of folks favor them.

Bill, not trying to "date" anyone but how old is that watch? Is that Snow White or Cinderella on the face. The reason I am curious is that maybe it might be worth a little something, if it is an original. I noticed the WDP at the base of the face, I would think that stands for Walt Disney Productions.

Ken- My wife's grandmother bought it for her in 1953. It is Cinderella! And the WDP does stand for Walt Disney Prod. We aren't collectors of anything in particular, and I have no idea what it is worth. And, we will probably never check to find out. My wife keeps it in her jewerly box as a keepsake from her grandma!

1953...I was 2 yrs. old in 53. Harry S. Truman had only recently turned the country over to Esinhower I believe, give or take a year, I am not sure. I've read a little about old Harry, quite a character really. :)
