I have been looking for this image for awhile, it got buried. This is a scanned film image taken in 1990 in Monteverde Costa Rica.

Nice shot there Gordon, a little lacking in contrast but good just the same. Is that moss growing nearby? If so it gives us a good reference as to how small or large the orchid is, very nice. :D

Ken, that thing was tiny, yes it is moss growing on the side of a tree in the cloud forest. Alas back in those days I was using a borrowed Canon F1 and close up rings needless to say as you note the image is a little off.

Very nice orchid Gordon. I have been to CR three times already (*my wife was born there and my inlaws retired there also) I cannot wait to get back.

 Really dwarf orchid judging by surrounding moss. Or the moss were giant. :D
