This is the orchid Oncidium Cheirophorum which is blooming right now in my terrarium. Lots of beautiful yellow waxy looking blossoms. This is the second time it has bloomed for me so I think it will be an easy growing winner in my collection. The third picture is a stack of 7 shots using Helicon Focus.

A very nice mass flowering little orchid.
Is it sympodial with pseudobulbs such as in the genus Cattleya or Cymbidium?
I've had Cymbidium with big flowers lasting more then two months as I can remember.

Oncidium orchids are sympodial with pseudobulbs. For people who do not know that much about orchids, there are two main growth types in orchids... sympodial (multiple stem) and the monopodial (single stem). Most sympodial orchids have pseudobulbs which function as storage reservoirs for food and water. Cattleya, Paphiopedilum, Oncidium, and Dendrobium are sympodial type orchids. In monopodial growth, there is one main stem which grows indefinitely from the center of the plant. Examples of monopodial orchids are Phalaenopsis and Vanda. The foliage is generally thick and leathery and grows alternately on the stem.
