I always get tons of these in my shed...

Don't know what they are called. Any suggestions please?

Far too big for a flea...If it is, I don't want to get bitten by one

I think I found the ID.....I thought they looked like sand fleas so I did a little digging and came up with this

I guess they get around in the world. They are not insects.

They are amphipods, around here they are often called lawn shrimp. As you have discovered they can be very common after rains when they get flooded out of the soil.

Those are shrimp

Sure would take a lot of them to make a meal.
