Re: Help to choose between two Mitutoyo 20x lens
I had several mitutoyos myself, and some performed better than others. I had 3 mitutoyo 20x and I sold a BD plan that maybe did perform slightly better than the M plan I kept but if it did was not by that much. In my opinion different performance can happen because of different versions of the same ...

Re: Help to choose between two Mitutoyo 20x lens
I've had to return every 20x Mitutoyo I've purchased due to haze damage to the inner elements. The last unit I bought was from a lab and they promised it was brand new, never used, just stored for an amount of time. I have never seen a hazy Mitutoyo, and I had a few of them. Maybe that problem you ...

Re: Parallel sensor alignment / digital spirit levels
I just use a 5 axis positioning stand ( X, Y, 360° and 2x goniometers), for something like wafers I think is more than enough ; Z axis is the motorized rail for stacking. For other subjects ( even for butterfly wings) the flatter angle is not always the best one. Taking the pictures is just a fracti...

Re: Musou Black Flock Sheet
found the picture, of course I forgot to label things (doh), and there's only three materials, but the dark one is the protostar. will see that I can make a better version eventually. Is protostar still available?, I read somewhere that it was out of business. I am running out of flocking material ...
