Re: Hydrurus
Found this today and it reminded me that I had a few photos already. The first is a branch, the second a close-up of the branch and the third is a motile reproductive cell. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/1050_Hydrurus_400_X_011910_1.jpg http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/1...

I only know what I have read concerning Hoffman Modulation. Here is a clip that answers one of your questions: (From: http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/primer/techniques/hoffman/hoffmanintro.html ) When the condenser is set at the brightfield position, objectives with a modulator installed can also be us...

question regarding hoffman modulation.
Hello all
I have some questions about Hoffman modulation
1)Is this technique comparable to dic as far as concern the aesthetic of the final image
2)Is this technique utilises special objectives? If yes is it possible to use them for regular brightfield photography?
Thank you in advance

I also own the 75ARD1 version and i have some questions? 1)How can i mount it reversed to a m42 camera? 2)Whitch is the optimum distance from camera mount for 1x and 2x magnification (lens is consider reversed). Thank you in advance I am not sure there will be any advantage to reversing the 75ARD1....

Stacking step for microscope objective
I'm sure this has been answered before but i did'nt manage to find. What i want is the mathematical formula for calculating the optimal step for a given objective (magnification and n/a) and sensor size. Also a little theory regarding the logic of calculations will be very helping. Thank you in adva...

Ric thank you very much for your fast response. I already know what happens when ''retain full dynamic range'' is clicked but this is not the issue here. My exposures are uniform but the final result of the stack using pmax method is similar to what Matthias is describing in his first post . Using c...
