Cool! If you get a chance I'd love to hear how well that corr objective works.

Indeed, especially since you could likely make one yourself if you couldn't find another brand to adapt on (olympus https://www.ebay.com/itm/323349257468) or even an enlarger turret (like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/202764497681 but these are too small for leica-sized 65mm objectives) Sometimes th...

One of these rare and expensive nosepieces came up on eBay
https://www.ebay.com/itm/223962580446
Same seller has some of the new planapos, including the one with a corrective collar to account for water over the sample. It is insanely expensive but maybe they'll take offers.

That's certainly a rare objective on the used market. I have found 1ish mm fine for oblique lighting with a fiber optic illuminator, though obviously not as easy as a more reasonable wd. That is at much lower mag though, with subjects that are more forgiving.

Absolutely beautiful photo, but I can't make heads or tails of the subject (literally). Which end is this?

The DIC rating means that the Nikon is strain-free so polarized light shouldn't pose a problem.

Are they parfocal with the normal m plan apos? I know the initial theory that they were just rebranded m plan apos with a different tube length quoted didn't work out, but they do seem like a pretty minor variant at least externally. Alas, though, unless you have Leica's fancy FL-III setup with a be...

Old thread, but I wanted to correct the record--older Wild/Leica objectives are not parfocal but they changed most of the latest batch of objectives to be (all laid out in the M205 manual). These are usually too recent to be available used though. That said, these objectives are all infinity correct...

I use mine to image inside gems. Once you get under the surface of a stone it usually behaves pretty well across a range of depths, but if you have anything reflecting on the surface (cracks, dust spots) they streak really badly across a stack. Still, it is an insane deal at 100bucks if there is any...

Any particular reason these over the older 26.5s? Nikon finite and infinite eyepieces are pretty compatible.

A very handy feature that I've been getting quite a bit of use from. I had my local camera shop clean my sensor, but they somehow ended up smearing something on it instead. Very vexing on some longer exposures.

Objectives in that mag range are hampered by their need to be parfocal with higher mag objectives, so tend to be expensive and also not that great vs other options. Probably worth sorting through one of the shootoffs in this price range to see if there's an enlarger or industrial lens that would giv...

There are a few options out there. I use one off an Olympus stereo on my wild m400, and Nikon smz-u focus drives also seem to come up fairly often (though these will likely be more annoying to adapt since they use a dovetail/setscrew connection rather than bolts). That said many focus drives with a ...

They are quite uncommon loose. You will likely have more luck picking up a focus rack from a different maker and adapting it on. Plus side, you can get a coarse/fine focus drive that way.

Have you considered afocal imaging through a viewing eyepiece with a 40mm pancake lens? It sounds like it might be an easy solution if you can get the mechanical mounting figured out, but that isn't usually too hard.
