Reviving this thread. I did a video review of this flash recently for my website. The link is here: https://youtu.be/XEU-m8-Rozg Note that the video is around 37mins. Thank you for the nice review, which helped me form an idea about the macro flash. I rarely sit long enough for long reviews, but I ...

Thanks Rik.

Given that it will be my first foray into the microscope objective world, going slow on the budget looks logical.

Thanks Adalbert. This is a good suggestion and I am looking into it.

So these look like infinity objectives and can go on my 55-250mm as tube giving me the advantage to adjust my magnification.

A question though, whats the difference between E100 objectives and E200 objectives?

Thank you. That really helps.

Though given my situation, finances and budget kept in mind, the famous objectives are beyond the budget. $600 is way off for me given that I am not even earning from my photos.

The ones from wemacro do seem within the budget.

10x microscope objective kit for hobby

Hi All, I have been going in detail in the FAQ section for the microscope objectives and have got the general idea of the workings. I am a hobbyist photographer from India so regular access to precise optics and kits is difficult. Yes ebay/aliexpress are options but its a big luck with customs. Befo...

Thanks Jon for putting up this thread. I have bookmarked it and will go through the build process. We dont get IKEA lights here in India, so if the process of removing the cover goes bonkers, I am left with two lights. Yes the base light coming from the Janso is too spread out. Ofcourse its a readin...

This is excellent Yawns.

The image speaks for the efforts taken.

So during your real time tests, you then decide how many lights do you really need scenario?

Thanks Mike and Yawns.

It was a little tricky to get proper details on that rim and to control reflections.

Thanks Jon. Yes I am based in India. Being in the tropics, there is a lot of variety. However insect trading/capturing in wild is banned by the wildlife department. Further the insect collectors are majorly linked to colleges and universities. So to get to them,to access the specimens is kind of dif...
