Very nice pictures, great DOf, did you stack?

210mm is a rather unusual focal distance, may I ask wich lens?

This was done wit the FA 24/2 on the F 100 macro.
The 100 macro wide open and the 24 on F4.

About 4x, not the best stack but I gues the lenscombination does the job.

But as you said but 590 gr + 450 gr, more then 1 kg without body.

Ok like that, sorry!

Is the flash conected to the body?

I know the thyristor discharging a flash is something I can feel, that could cause movement to.

I presumed the ambient light was wanted in this picture, otherwise is see no use for the long shutter speed.

Shot at 1/180 sec in stead of 5 sec would rule out most of the influence of the ambient light.

Long exposure and flash means that your light comes from two sources with a different wavelenght. This means a difference in focus for each type of light. The extreme small DOF in this size is a possible cause for this result.

Looks like a ghost image to me, one from the flash and one from the existing light.

A metalic mirror as used in overheadprojectors is also very suitable for this job.

You could replace the projector with a difusser. Then photograph each frame (like a slidecopier) and afterwards use your images to render to a film. This would give you the best possible quality.

I have seen very decent digital copies of old films.

They were projected on a screen and at the same time filmed.

I think there is some confusion here. In the center of the flower there is indeed a small insect. You can see it on the 100% bellow. But on the left side of the foto is also some black cloudy thing. That could wel be sensor dust, I have to check the source images. Which method did you use to automat...
