....interesting, just had a quick look at the data sheet looks quite spectacular from infinity to 0.2x:... Some vendor took an 138HR outside the shop on a phase one and shot a brick wall, no really a brick wall, and compared that with some other reference lenses and got some really stellar results....
This one was released right at the beginning of 2020. The range is actually quite good for in-the-field natural history macro work like insects and flowers etc. Quick specs: Focal length: 120mm Aperture: 5.6 – 16 Extreme magnification range of -0.06x – -0.52x Floating element optics Perfect match wi...
tied to find some technical details on the FL0530 the only two pages I could come up with were: https://www.genossen.co.jp/top-96-product83 https://www.marubun.co.jp/product/system/a8tque000000ap6g-att/a7ijkd000000jg61.pdf the first list some tech specs and the second gives an overview over the dif...
......Some time ago I managed to get a MV-85 at a very reasonable price. It was optically perfect, but ....Contrast was kinda lacking too. ...... - Macrero Hi Macrero, I've found the same and noted that in my testing. There have been a few! The MacroVaron needs shrouds or hoods added to perform bes...
The "markings" astride the slots on both the inner and outer retaining rings oddly extend in the same direction on either side of the lens. This is counter to the suggestion that someone crudely opening the lens had the tool slip out of the slots. Even so, the site of such a presentation is halting...
Just out of curiosity. Outside of some of the folks on this forum, what type of people represents the market for these second hand high-end line scan lenses? For example, I see that chendata has sold a bunch of Macro Vanor 85mm F4.5 lenses for $2000. I realize that that is cheap compared to the cos...
Seems to me that there's nothing wrong with them. It looks more like some odd mechanical part sticking out equally at each slot location. Maybe to keep the retainer in place? I see a brass colored shim and some glue on the front retainer. Don't see any odd parts sticking out, even with my glasses :...
Dolmadis, watch out for those. The front and back rings have clearly been opened, and very crudely. Surely a high-quality lens like this cannot be opened and put back together by such rough-handed clods without ruining it. Look at the bare metal scratches around that ring...they look very deep. The...
Forgot to mention this but Mejiro was a Japanese lens/lighting manufacturer located in Tokyo with products targeting industrial use. They were purchased by Taiwanese corporation a couple of years ago.
This is the slower version of the float lens, they make a f/2.5 faster 1-3x but this version has a wider mag range, Ray mentions this. FWIW, I've contacted Mejiro maybe 5 times in the last 3 years, zero interest even answering one question. Useless customer service staff. I would like to what happen...
They also paid -12.8 % effective US federal tax (that's minus 12.8 %) over the last 3 years as we learned today, so you're paying them twice over  https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/02/business/economy/zero-corporate-tax.html Glad to hear that they are re-investing this into customer service. Th...
I had a custom adapter machined for my microscope a month or so back. It was shipped slow via fedex and was almost a week late when it was marked as delivered--but when I went out there was no package. I checked my security camera and saw the fedex guy had driven down my street, turned around and d...
