Hey, thanks. No, I don't think it would work without some additional optics and parts. I know the Ultraphot pumpkin-style lamphouse is used for the HBO burner on photomicroscopes, and so presumably the tungsten lamp version of the pumpkin could be used for epi-illumination on the photomic... But tha...

Zeiss photomic/ultraphot stuff - Trade?

Have ended up with some extra stuff after purchasing a Photomicroscope III-RS outfit that someone hadn't finished fully piecing together. So i have -- Two binocular heads (both white), one is pristine; the other has slight delamination at the entry lens edge. The delaminated one looks fully servicea...

All working, I assume? What's the actuator pitch and minimum step distance?

Delightful. Hymenoptera. Always doing something bizarre. That's a great series of pics, then. I'm nine months into a diplolepis rosae project. Some decent footage of ovipositing behaviors; tracking a 2mm wasp filming in macro mode is tough.

Very nice. But I am confused. Does the seladerma create a gall on ovipositing on the plant? Or is it a parasitoid of the fly? What's the life cycle?

WTB: Binolux II/III HBO Burner for Zetopan (Still looking!)

Looking to buy an HBO burner for the Zetopan. I'd prefer to get the full Binolux II arrangement, but will consider a dedicated mercury lamp burner, assuming Reichert made one for the Zetopan. I don't necessarily need the high voltage power supply, but let me know if you have one to sell. Thanks!! Le...

Welcome. I should mention this is a very messy process. Oil gets everywhere. After 24 hours, I have two channels working fine. The third is slowly losing pressure, though I have not identified where. I strongly suspect it's the servo cartridge, but it could be the joystick piston cartridge. Will swa...

Narishige MO-102 Micromanipulator Repairs

Hi, all. I am looking for any guidance available on recharging the hydraulic fluid in an old Narishige MO-102. Like this one, but complete: https://www.ebay.com/p/Narishige-Type-Mo-102-Three-3-Axis-Joystick-Micromanipulator/557165728 Fluid smells like brake fluid, but if anyone knows specifically wh...

$85 for a brass version of the model S fine focus spur gear, which may require some machining on your scope to make it fit, too. http://www.microscope-maintenance.com/SpurGears.html Rafael at RAF camera, at my suggestion, tooled up and made some nylon fine focus spur gears for the S series a year or...

Will post some pics soon. I believe it's the 77 Series, 2" thick version. It is definitely stainless, and definitely has a ferromagnetic layer underneath that. Here is a webpage showing it. http://www.directindustry.com/prod/tmc/product-21701-513778.html#product-item_513786 Look at the 77 series. Th...

3x5 TMC Optical Breadboard Isolation Tabletop - Seattle Area

Just the top, no legs. Truly a thing of beauty. 1/4-20 tapped holes at 1" centers. Stainless. 3'x5'x2" thick. Weighs about 350lb, I would guess. I was going to stretch it across between two cabinet bases on top of rubber vibration damping feet, but the 3' depth is just a little too large for my spac...

Leitz Vario-Orthomat (Orthomat E) Controller Manual?

Does anyone happen to have the instruction manual for the Orthomat E controller? The buttons look a little cryptic, and I'd prefer more confidence that I am doing things right before putting a roll of film through... Thanks!
