Thanks for that Charles. That 60X prism must be rarer than hens teeth! I have the Nic/Phase condenser which limits me to S Plan 10, 20, 40, 100 but I believe I can use APO at 100X too.

Crazy colours
I's still experimenting with my polarizing scope and the novelty hasn't worn off yet (apologies to those for whom it has :) ) Here is a crop of the scales on the back of a tiny freshwater shrimp in cross polarised light with a full wave plate inserted. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/2...

Fungal Spores
These are fungal spores of a Laccaria species. They are around 9 microns across with spines of around 1 micron in length. A two image stack. 100x oil objective in DIC.
