Thanks saul, i'm new to shipping overseas with ebay, I saw it was cheaper on my end, I thought that was what the customer was paying for shipping.

I think maybe USPS might be the best bet as this thing is pretty tough & can take some abuse.

Being able to see through the red mark was amazing. Is the red mark on a black widow spider the same absence of pigment?

Troels,

You are right I think this is probably around 10 lbs, 4.5 Kg. I might put it on ebay and let them ship it overseas using their global shipping program. I think it is cheaper that way.

I'll post the link here If I do.

Thanks,

Olympus Vanox Focus Block

Could anyone use this for a macro rig? Very heavy, has four bolt holes and screws in the back for mounting, front has one screw in it I can see, two other holes that could be for mounting, but they are not threaded, maybe they are threaded further down in. Not sure, anyway it works great, nice and s...

1x & 2x olympys FL

If anyone has a use for a flawless 1x or 2x olympus FL objective pm me. By the way, what is the typical use of a 1x objective on a microscope anyway? Thanks, http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/5230_image_1.jpg http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/5230_image_2.jpg http://www.photo...

just got home from work, used a slide with cover slip. Problem solved. The micrometer slide was indeed upside down the entire time. You're right Pau, total rookie mistake! Honestly all the bells and whistles on this scope and I just thought there had to be some little setting I was overlookin...

I am beginning to suspect the issue may lie with the "objective" changer button on the keypad. I have been moving the objectives and condenser magnification by hand. However there is a blue objective button with left and right arrows. Also there are three buttons on the bottom right side marked with...

I lowered the stage but the problem is still occurring. choronzon the 10x is retractable and extended, its practically hitting the glass though. When its focused at 10, if i switch to 20 it hits the glass and is not focused. If I lower the stage and swing in the 20 or 40, they will hit and retract j...

Here are the pics, as you can see the 10x is right on top of the slide at focus, the 40x won't even slide into position without hitting the slide. I believe i'll have to adjust the stage height as adn25fr has mentioned. Are these the hex screws you mentioned? I will try adjusting them now. Thank you...

The unit came with Olympus Splan APOs: 1,2,4,10,20,40x. When it arrived the stage was a bit slanted to one side and there was no silvered metal slide holder on it. I removed the objectives, then removed the stage to inspect the underside. I put the stage back on, it seemed to fit perfect. I adjusted...
