Re: Ant And Mathematical Question

Hi
I stand by my statement:
The object side image section is visibly 20% smaller, this is the disadvantage.
It would be interesting to know your opinion on this.

Re: Ant And Mathematical Question

Hi

"and opting for a longer extension doesn't appear to impair image quality"

At 12.4x, compared to 10x, the object-side image section is visibly 20% smaller, but judged by eye, the resolution of the object is not higher.
Thus, it is a loss and not a gain!

Dardanus megistos

Hi Macroscopic in magnifying scale. The picture shows the surface of a pincer of the Red or White-spotted Hermit Crab (Dardanus megistos). It is NOT from a live animal, but from the stripped skin, which it buried in the sand. https://up.picr.de/43200940ls.jpg www.focus-stacking.ch/B/05413_00.JPG Cam...

Hello Harald

I've been stacking with StackShot for over 10 years up to 60/0.7 and I'm absolutely satisfied with it.
(Un)fortunately the StackShot has no blue button =D>

Re: Telecentric combo at 0.8X to 1.69X

Hi Lou For stitched images, telecentric lenses are certainly an advantage. Regarding resolution in the image with telecentric lenses: Resolution is often not as high with telecentric lenses as it is with entocentric lenses, depending on the magnification. The Nikon MM 1x Toolmaker (is telecentric on...

Re: Telecentric combo at 0.8X to 1.69X

Hi For the information of photographers who are interested in object-side telecentric lenses. The Zhongyi Mitakon Creator 85 f/2.8 1-5X Super Macro is nearly telecentric. Re: Remedy for vibrations

In macro or microphotography it is crucial among other factors to work with very short exposure times. I use the term “t0.5” as a measure for the burning time of a flash. That is the time taken from the 50% maximum until the value has dropped down to 50%. Less convenient are photo-transistors for me...

Re: Remedy for vibrations

Hi
And then when you know with Sensor Kinetcs how much it trembles,
you still do not know how much it can be seen in the picture!
The camera is a very good measurement tool for photography!
Resolution measurements create relevant results for photography.

Re: Remedy for vibrations

Hi First do a resolution test with a resolution test target (USAF chart) with the current setup. Then remove the monitor and its mount. Then do a resolution test again, the resolution should be higher. Then you can remove the high setup of the camera and mount the object on the sled, not at the same...

Re: Remedy for vibrations

Hi Pete When the motorized carriage moves, the camera and likewise the monitor vibrate. It takes a long time for the high structure of the camera and the monitor, which is far out, to settle down, so also when the environment is vibrating. It is better to move the light object with the sled. The cam...

Hi Is it a beautiful and friendly eight-legged, or an annoying good-for-nothing? The European pigeon tick lives about 4-6, maximum 18 years and can live several years without food (blood), in case of need human blood is enough. Body length 6.1mm. https://up.picr.de/42897184oy.jpg As video, using m.o...
