If you mean between the two stands, then no.

By head, do you mean the nosepiece? (not switched as yet)

or...the binocular head?

Changeable nosepiece is rare for Labophot's, though standard for Optiphot's. I upgraded from Labophot 2 to Optiphot 1, because I wanted changeable nosepiece. I hadn't realised it was, especially as the objectives face rearwards, unlike the Optiphot 1, where they point towards you. One reason why I ...

Thanks for that, I think you are on the right lines here. The problem is also seen on a Labophot 2, and both have a changeable nosepiece that has a dovetail, which has a registration slot/pin and a screw to tighten. On adjusting this I see it also affects the situation, though I can't get it right. ...

Nikon Optiphot stage issue

I have a Nikon Optiphot with an unusual problem with the stage. Put simply, I think it is slightly tilted, from front to back. This is seen in the image in that when the centre is in focus, the top and bottom of the field are not. One is brought into focus by using the fine focus in one direction, t...

What is this Meopta item?

No idea what this is at all. There is a Meopta x10 NA 0.30 objective in the box, with another few items. Completely stumped on this one. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/6382_untitled_4_of_6_2.jpg http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/6382_untitled_5_of_6_1.jpg http://www.photom...

An unusual slider...any ideas?

I found this recently, in a box of 'junk' and it looks like some sort of slider. However, there is no makers name, and i am unsure if it is for sub-stage use, or above the objective. I hope the pictures show that there is a small lens behind the slit. Nicely made, it would be nice to get it in the h...

Hi Mike, after all the help you have given, upon reading this, I turned straight round to the microscope. My annuli are spot on, just the same as my x10 and x20 (I don't have a x40). Indeed, since I have two 4x PhL DL objectives, I tried them both, and both behave the same. My removal aperture has e...

Hi,

the condenser fitting is the same on the Neopan as the Bizet and Zetopan.

Nikon Phase condenser

Hi, I am after a phase condenser to fit a Nikon Optiphot, or indeed the NA 0.5 LWD one for a Diaphot.

I have some Zeiss gear for exchange if that suits, including Luminar spectacle condensers and Luminar holders, plus one or two other things.

kind regards, Mike

Reichert DIC

Hi, a friend was trying to get a Reichert DIC system up and running on his Neopan at the weekend. I was able to help him get some satisfactory images, but we didn't know what numbers on the turret correspond to what objectives. I am familiar with the Zeiss common slider system, where the condenser h...
