Universal multiple layer "diffuser" ...

I like to have several layers of diffusion with some separation rather than a single layer diffuser... I'm working like that for sometime and I built all sort of things... Like "Canopies" https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48805824502_f3f2085ef7_c.jpg z1 by antonio caseiro , on Flickr or "Matryoshk...

Something to consider with the Wemacro rail is the sides accept standard ARCA clamps. Best, Thank you ..... I never noticed that detail... I must have a couple of Arca type shoes somewhere. That will help a lot because I like to use also enlargers lenses who require quite a lot of working distance....

Vertical Setup using extrusion .. V-Slot

GOOGLE Translated .. maybe you will find "funny bits" After making the V-Slot structure for a horizontal "all in one" setup ... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48274136802_e955926ce6_b.jpg IMG_20190713_173419 by antonio caseiro , on Flickr I also thought about making a vertical one. I finished i...

Interesting .. and very nice footage too.

Beetles are really strong .. once I left a Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (those who kill the palm trees) under an upside down clay ashtray to photograph the day next .. he managed to lift the ashtray and escape during the night.

Good you're happy... would be nice to have a wider / complete view... can you provide the name / SKU for that part Ray is mentioning?. I suppose it's the same that is bellow the elevator in the horizontal beam... If you're referring to the linear bearing on which the Wemacro is mounted it's this, a...

I've just now written a new explanation that addresses this issue. See "FAQ: Why do my images lose sharpness when posted?"

The usal test victims... a fly.(edit: + a moth)

The night I finished my new frame for the gear I had a heart stroke (it's a popular trend among forum members these days).. it's like 6-7 weeks I left the hospital but I never felt in the mood to try it meanwhile. Today I got the usual test victims.. a fly, because they are always at hand and easy t...

I'm experimenting with LEE diffuser sheet #400 Lee lux and I'm pleased with what it does with the shiny highlights on metallic subjects... retains a lot of detail in the critical areas. I'm sorry for the really sloppy picture.. It's just a test crash dummy missing body parts. And I'm unsure about pu...

Quoting: I generally notice these by finding an insect on a flower that looks 'wrong'. Usually, there is a crab spider at the end of the dead insect. Every time I found one it was exactly like that too ... they can match their colors so exactly with the flowers , they are almost impossible to see, a...

My preference goes for the 1st one.. I like how the hoverfly legs mix with the long parts of the flower...
The second one has a very nice colour combination subject / background..
