Re: Tegenaria agrestis?

Errmm ... the images are first rate but this Luring: place a very thin stick between your lips, resting the other end near the opening of the web. Purse your lips and draw in air across the stick to make a high pitch buzzing sound, mimicking a struggling insect. makes me think ...  Sven

This is spectacular Charles! I’ll stop shooting macro now! ;)

What amazes me most is the way your subjects are lit at this magnification.

Rik, I’ve been through something similar two or three years ago in my own backyard wearing just … erm … nothing (because I was leaving the swimming pool). I was fighting them with my towel … what took longest was to get them off my hair. What a horrible experience! I’m still getting goose bump if I ...

After getting Craigs okay here is a color key rework of the third image above. Took not more than 3 mins in PS (image is small). If one gets a hang to it color key work really isn't that complicated. This here is done by using the two layers technique described above. But to be honest, color key ima...

Well, I can relate to this, somehow. If I have to bury a fish (from my garden pond) in our garden, it takes about 2 or 3 weeks after the funeral until everything - really everything – is gone. Not even the smallest fishbone is left. This shows me how active this “hidden” life is.
