Unknown make - 35mm macro bellows lens

Just acquired this used unknown brand 35mm f3.5 macro bellows lens with a 42mm screw thread. No idea what quality the images might be or the optimum magnifications but will be interesting experimenting to find out. If anyone has used a lens the same as this I'd be pleased to read any comments. These...

Thank you Rik the links are very useful and looks like I'll be trying Zerene especially if it is best for transparent subjects. Now I'm also thinking that my days of using my kitchen as a temporary studio are over and I need to convert the spare bedroom into a permanent small studio. Lots to conside...

Stacking software: iMac & Snow Leopard OS - Advice reqd.

I'm a new forum member and although experienced with film macrophotography, I'm only just getting into digital in a serious way. I use an iMac 9.1 with 24" screen with Snow Leopard OS. I also have an older iMag G5 running Leopard OS. I'm not keen to load Windows onto my 24" Mac to use Windows compat...

Hi there Dunk. Now if you are into potions and bait... Banana bait might work for moths.. it certainly works for butterflies. (I too tried some stuff with wine and sugar but banana bait is a wee bit better.). I shall ask for the recipe - I haven't made it myself. When I get it, I'll post it here. M...

Hi Dave, I don't know Nottingham that well but bought a 'pig in a poke' Linhof Technika 70 from Brookside Photographic some years ago! Do you recall his adverts in AP? Cost me a fortune to get it repaired.

Cheers

Some of my shell and fossil pix ...

I've just joined the forum and these are a few scans from prints of shells and fossils all originally photographed with tungsten film using a Leica R4 and 100mm Macro Elmar. Some of these are slightly cropped because the prints are too large for the scanner. I'll post some pix of the transilluminati...

Introducing myself ... dunk from Peterborough UK

Hi, My forst post on the forum - I discovered the website yesterday when searching for a book and I wish I'd known about it previously. My main photographic interest is macrophotography and in the past I've entered club competitions and UK exhibitions with some success. However, since the advent of ...
