Now, I have a better selection of Nikon cameras and various macro hardware but I still am a newbie. The Infinivar seems to have a focal image diameter of 14mm, which results in a circular ima...

We plan to purchase the slr camera adapter with right-angle prism. So question is: which camera should we purchase to go with it? I'm a Nikon guy b...

At the San Mateo Maker Faire Google unveiled the Android ADK - a development kit that supports the Arduino. Microchip and FTDI had their chip based platforms as well. Your host device needs to be able to operate as a host with OTG support though. There are guys hacking their Samsung Tabs and phones ...

They have a development platform for bluetooth that should cut down development but... you must join the made for iphone development program first and that takes time and effort. And probably they'd cho...

When I first saw the Apple tv being demo'd at the Apple store this is what it was doing. So I changed the settings and searched for photomacrography photos and it then just fed them to me one after another on their big 50" display tv. Pretty cool. I work at WDC and we have a WDTV series of My TV pro...

Questions about snowflakes: Looking at these images have me wondering - are all snowflakes rather two dimensional? Why would they be - I mean it makes for a better design to survive the fall to earth but like it doesn't care - its not alive. Are there other 3D snowflakes that fall so fast they self-...

For the Google redirect problem, look at the right upper corner of your browser and click the down arrow right of the search magnifier icon. Look at "Manage Search Providers". Disable/remove everything but Google default and click the little box at the bottom. That seemed to help me out a lot. For s...

The Gigapan guys were at the San Mateo MakerFaire this May. I talked with a guy there a bit. He was unaware of our forum.
Another guy there had a cheap, rc servo based slide manipulator to map DNA samples... I think I have a couple short video clips.

ebay buy

along these lines, I just bought this setup:
ebay 250652933714
I know nothing about it and unfortunately do not have a trinocular head yet.
Will this be useful for digital photography or is it strictly for film (I know film cameras are included in the buy).
