Re: Crystals of Glycin (the amino-acid)
Very nice picture! Could you please tell a bit more about how they were obtained? By melting and pouring glycine on the slide or by evaporating its solution?

For sale - legendary Carl Zeiss Jena Apochromat 60/1,40 HI
G'day everyone, it was a tough decision, but I decided to put my CZJ 60/1,40 HI Apo for sale as I use immersion objectives not so often and it's parfocal height is 33 mm and my main set is 45 mm so it's not very comfortable. It is rare later version with spring collar, but unfortunately spring is st...

Never seen those macro-nikkors before, just googled them, they are really similar in terms of appearance. Too bad I couldn't find the optical scheme to compare it with Mikroplanars.Macro_Cosmos wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 8:14 pmThey look so incredibly similar to the Nikon macro-nikkor lenses used in their multiphot system.

Red blood cells with phase contrast and COL
Some time ago I got my hands on "3D-condenser" manufactured by Gamma Hungary, which is basically a COL condenser to my understanding. Here's a quick comparsion of this condensor's picture (left) with Zeiss Phv phase contrast + oblique lighting (right), done on Nf microscope. 40x Planachromat Phv obj...

Had a great fun collecting and looking at those "pickles" through my Zeiss Nf microscope. This particular photo is taken with Nikon D5200, 16x/0,40 Apochromat objective and MF-Projektiv K3,2:1 projection eyepiece. Circular oblique lighting with the help of phase diaphragm and Nf's standart pancratic...
