Re: Interested in Chemicals?

Seems like my local high school was eager to take it off my hands.

Interested in Chemicals?

I have some chemicals I used for making crystals to photograph under different lighting techniques. If anyone local is interested (Delta, BC, Canada), you are welcome to collect. No charge. They all expired but I am sure they can still form crystals just fine. Sodium Borate 500g powder Potassium Nit...

Specs: UPLSAPO60XO; U PLAN SUPER APOCHROMAT 60X OIL OBJECTIVE, NA 1.35, WD 0.15 MM, OIL IMMERSION Code: 1-U2B832 I am asking CAD 2000 for it, which is about CAD...

FWIW - my local computer shop would tell you to put your memory into single channel mode rather than multichannel, to avoid nonspecific memory problems. I understand that's only an option if you have spare slots. I can't add any further comment! You mean not quad channel? What is the point of fast ...

Some years back, a photographic software company apparently created a feature to randomly and irretrievably delete images from memory cards, if the software was thought to be pirated. That is about as unethical as a lawyer sharing your case details with the opposition. I was hoping that such behavi...

Do you have the option to save images to both PC and memory card? If so, I’d be inclined to try this for a few stacks, to see if the corruption occurs on the same images in both places. Whichever way it goes, you get useful information. Good idea - this will determine if the camera is to blame or t...

I have not yet tested RAM, but I did run Prime95 for an hour or so without errors. I will check RAM now. Good idea - thanks.

I doubt the CPU or overclocking would cause something like this. Well it could, if the machine becomes unstable then it could introduce errors but I agree, it is a bit of a far stretch just looking at the way the corruption occurs. I did remove the overclock and will be testing that. Also - if I co...

How long have you been using the SSD for? Samsung? You can get a freeware called samsung magician to check any SSD's status. I have a Samsung EVO 950 Pro SSD, had it for about 3 years, and have magician installed - status is Good and no SMART errors. My approach would be take the motherboard out, r...

Ah mac, that would have been useful info. I rest my case here, I know nothing about MacOS. All the stuff I've mentioned was assuming you're using a windows machine, sorry about that, should have asked first. :? Your best bet would be the process of elimination at this point. That's how I discovered...

Have you updated your graphics driver? When I was using my laptop with a 970M, a windows update screwed everything up. I would get results very similar to yours. It happened when I opened the image through Capture One, stacking made it worse. Well everything is always updated - I am kind of OCD abo...

I once had similar issues. It turned out to be not quite fully seated M.2 extension card. Yours could naturally be something completely different. My PC is overclocked however it has been stable for years. I have removed the overclock to see if that helps. Hardware should be fine ... 1.5kW PSU, liq...

Hi; When viewing the raw images with default windows photo app I had problems like this before. Did you try opening the corrupted raw image with capture one or lightroom etc? Just an experience. If there is no difference I also think it is about usb ports, try using the main usb ports on motherboar...
