Re: Perla Marginata (Stonefly)
Do you have any special problems (and solutions) when shooting through water? What are you using? I avoid reflections on the water surface with transmitted light. As these are living insects, I use flash units for the exposure to avoid motion blur. Any contamination is visible in transmitted light....

Re: Perla Marginata (Stonefly)
Nice images! I'm thinking these look like studio shots, versus "undisturbed subjects in their natural environment" as described for Nature Photography. Is that correct? If so, then we'll move this thread to Technical & Studio. --Rik Please move this thread to Technical & Studio. Thanks, Peter

Re: Ruddy Darter (Sympetrum sanguineum)
Thank you very much for the comments. I have some pictures of flying dragonflies. But only in this one is the entire body, including the eyes and large parts of the wings, very sharp. This is just luck based on many attempts. My tip for fast-moving objects (dragonflies, birds, wild animals...) is to...

Best regards

Winter fairy tale part 2
Once upon an time......No, it was really happened and I like to continue the adventure. Every year when it´s cold and the chance for ice sculptures is high, I leave the cosy warm house. After driving my car to my special "cold water creek" I start the tour through a little gorge. Now I am entering a...
