The cup/bowl lens diffuser looks nice but I want to keep my distance to the subject so I ended up ordering these ones yesterday:

Thanks a lot guys for all the good advice.
I ended up ordering the 24EX, hope I'll manage to work with it.

Isn't it possible to draw the lights back using some special brackets and still add the diffuser but keep the length as small as possible?

Yongnuo YN14EX vs Yongnuo YN24EX

Hi, I want to order a one of the flashes tomorrow for outdoors macrophotography. Both of them have good reviews, I know 24EX is more powerful but the question is which one of them will work better without a diffuser as I don't want to have anything exceeding the length of my lens to disturb the spec...

Thanks a lot for the good thoughts guys. Even if the weather was not so good during this weekend, I manage to take another few shots around the garden. Hi guys, I just started and these are my first images ever, taken yesterday in my backyard and slightly improved/modified in LR. Thanks Alan,

I went to Reading meeting last year and was very pleased with it.
It would really be great for this meetings to happen more often in West Midlands and maybe some outreach activities could be organized in order to atract younger audience to the hobby. :)
