Re: Raynox DCR-150 tube assembly with flocking

Hello, a question to the community. As far as I read here in forums reversing the Raynox DCR-150 improves things and also adding some distance between microscope lens and tube lens improves results. So for those of us who would like to use a reversed Raynox DCR-150 as tube lens and Mitutoyo microsco...

Re: Dysdera crocata, the Woodlouse Spider

great 3D effect. Rik since you often show such excellent examples. I would like to have a small (mostly mechanical) viewer and print such 3d stacks on something like postcard size to have a stack of cards for viewing. Crossview does not work for eveybody and is somehow stressing for the eyes. Have y...

Re: Linear stage with 3.3" travel, stepper motor, and 0.5 micron encoder for about $100

I think in the sub µm range the problem is no longer the motor but stick-slip phenomena of the spindel/nut. May be the ball screw of the THK KR series has an edge over all the thread screw spindels. But probably such small movements with high accuracy and repeatability are the domain of piezo positi...

My home-made rail can be used for 100x / Na 0.95 and is cheaper than $200.
It bases on the THK KR2001A.

BR, ADi
OK but you should tell that you are talking of a used KR2001A, in new I assume it is several times as expencive.

Re: Test wafer distribution: Many features, includes res chart

It was just a thought along with "Photographs – DO NOT BEND". The German Post has also been playing games with letter class to force people to send goods as considerably more expensive, oversized parcels. but Deutsch Post has something like "Warenpost International" which allows goods. All the boxe...

cooling stage

I'm more thinking of a place to keep insects chilled. They often calm down pretty nice in the refrigerator, but then warm up too fast to photograph. Hi Rik, I just have to dig this out. Since I have a new macro rig (around a thorlabs 66mm rail) with high stability and room for a cooling stage, I am...

Re: Thoughts on Pentax KP for microscopy

- Pixel shift super resolution (to milk out all of sweet details from my λ-series Nikon PlanApo objectives 2x/0.10, 4x/0.20, 10x/0.45, 20x/0.75, 40x/0.95, 60x/1.40) ... - In-camera image stabilization (to minimize general vibration) in camera stabilisation only works for "normal" lenses not for mic...

Did you try other lenses, like 2x tele, wide angle ? I got this macro also, very happy with it (comparing with previous I purchased), except one small problem - hard to take out the lens from the silicon case :) no I did not try other lenses but I bought another sets of the APEXEL HD optic camera 1...
