Wow! It's been awhile since I went that far down a rabbit hole looking at someone new.
It's an interesting technique, and he's doing really nice work. Thanks for the heads up!

Re: Photography through camera port on stereo microscope
With my SZH I use an NFK 3.3x projection lens, with a U-PMTVC 0.3x adapter (a focusable BX version of the MTV3 BH adapter) to the GH4. That provides essentially 1.0x direct projection (3.3x x 0.3x = 0.99x) to the sensor. That fits the 4K sensor dimensions pretty well.

Re: Photography through camera port on stereo microscope
Trinocular stereos, particularly zoom stereos certainly have their place. It depends on your requirements. This particular video of a Damselfly nymph was shot using an Olympus SZH zoom stereo and a Panasonic GH4 in 4K: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMNHuab9hKE The subject was wandering around a pe...

Your best best would be to go to the Nikon Small World contest website and peruse the rules. Straight to the source and all that.

Re: Need help about an old Bausch & Lomb microscope: condenser alignment, model, and illumination questions
I just finished cleaning and lubricating 16 of these things (all surplus from a So Cal university and donated to the Microscopy Society of Southern California for refurbishment) for donation to a local high school class. I have the model name/number at my office/lab but I'm stuck at home for a few d...

Re: Information on this 'scope
Those old B&L scopes are surprisingly good stereo scopes. Very sturdy, too. I've donated around fifty of them to a couple of schools. Some I bought and some were surplus from a local university. The last couple were just last week. I have two I'm keeping for myself to use for outreach.

Nice video, even if too many organisms are labeled Brachionus plicatilis!

6 is best for me. I see distortion starting at 8 degrees.
