Thanks for looking Ken and Walter.

Walter: Yes, the beam splitter is under the condenser. I used a pellicle for a full frame Sony A-mount camera. The flash is off to the side. Not optimal, but it was simple and works reasonably well.

Hi Ramon,

I don't have a much higher res image. I sent reduced sizes to zerene, and then (as usual), I delete all my original images that I stacked.

Here's the largest I have:

Very neat. These things are everywhere! No such wonderful goodies on tree bark here in S AZ -- the sun would have fried them in an hour.

Really nice. I know how hard it is to get a good image of highly specular things.

ipod touch 4th gen screen

One of my kids pulled apart this device. These images came from the front and back of the active layer in the screen. All taken with 20x mitty, overhead dome diffuser with ring lamp on top of it. Zerene DMAP with the WeMacro MicroMate serving up 1.5um steps to the fine focus knob of a Leitz Ortholux...

Thanks for looking Ken. I put a 10-gal aquarium outside about 3 months ago. This came from that. It's quite anaerobic currently as the mosquito larvae quickly took over. My solution was to put a glass top on it thus trapping them as they hatched and preventing new eggs from going in. I must have kil...

filamented bacterium?

This was at the bottom of a very rank outside water source. It is 30um long x 1um width. It moved about 3 times its body length/sec. 'Head' first and straight as an arrow with no gyrating or vibrating and moving perpendicular to a current under the slide. 40x dic. Any clues appreciated. https://lavi...
