Re: Remedy for vibrations

I learned long ago that elimination of translation movements during stacking gives a sharper result, so I now turn off all corrections. Key to being able to do this is to ensure no movements. Capturing during a fast flash can help individual images, but if image to image movement is large, translat...

Re: small black point on the wall

Hello Chris, hello Rik,
I had feared something similar.
So far I've only found one.
So I'll have to start looking :-)

small black point on the wall

Hello everyone,
Today I noticed a small black dot moving on the white wall.
It is about 2mm long and in 5x looks like this:

What could it be?

Re: Best Canon mirrorless body

Adalbert, do they make image acquisition software like the EOS Utility for Fujifilm? On my Linux machine, I use Entangle. If not, that would be a deal breaker for me. I've exclusively use a Canon 50D (since it was released) and most recently the 90D. I would say 80% of the time with my microscopes ...

Re: Remedy for vibrations

Hello everyone, A very interesting discussion. As Kurt has already mentioned, using very short exposure times can be the solution. My setup is ultralight, yet I can take pictures with high NAs by using 4 YN660 flashes set to 1/128 power and remote triggering, synchronised via RF605C https://www.face...

Hello everyone, And an animation for those who don't like Sketchfab :-) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53669572035_550809479c_o.gif Here you can clearly see that the wing is curved. The only question is whether there is a vein at this point, and this is not visible in the 3D model because it is...

Re: Best Canon mirrorless body

Hello ,
I would also like to upgrade and currently use the Canon M6 Mark II (almost the same as the 90D)
and for me only the Fujifilm X-H2 or X-T5 would be an option.
BTW, I take photos almost exclusively with the microscope lenses so APSC is ideal for me.

Re: Vespula germanica

Hello Matthias,
You have captured the wasp very well.
The light could be a little more diffuse, which would have a positive effect on the eye.

Re: Peony ant

Hi Doug,
The first photo has something in it.
If you shoot outdoors, you might try the internal focus bracketing of your R7 with a macro lens if you have one.
Manual stacking by moving the camera is possible, as some have proved (unfortunately I can't do it).
