Very interesting! Perhaps in rainy places, pitcher plants have a lid on their trap to keep out the rain. The species near me does not have that.
I did not know that thing about Jack in the pulpit.

Very cool! I wonder if the lighter spots are secondary light receptors, like insect ocelli.

Very nice.
I would like to do more gif animations, but just a couple frames can balloon to an overly large file size that goes over the limit here. What is the trick?
