Re: iPhone video stack

Crop of a quick and dirty test subject (fig beetle from southern CA), image was made using every 10th frame or 52 images total stacked in zerene. I also tried a stack with every frame or 520 images (~5 second vid at 120FPS), which has a bit more color but also more artifacts. Not bad using eyepiece ...

Re: Adding darkfield to Nikon E400 microscope

compare with darkfield condenser on ebay here

https://www.ebay.com/itm/226067001648

would this not work? if you have a turret condenser, you may need a darkfield stop which can be made with appropriate dimmensions

Re: Arachnoidiscus diatoms adhered to coralline algae in situ

Heres those pics, my sample didnt have nearly as many diatoms as yours, so I didn't spend much time trying to get better images. I remember being disappointed the images were so boring...little did I know.. #-o

Re: DAPI Cube modification for Autofluoresence

Thanks Pau good find! I did also find this link:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/225781043377?var=524885066445

Quality of zeiss filter over the no name brand (also shipping from china) is likely better.

I agree I would like to avoid violet seeping in but price is right on. Thank you!

Re: DAPI Cube modification for Autofluoresence

Thanks Pau good info! I have an account with a supplier for the following:
FELH0450 - Ø25.0 mm Longpass Filter, Cut-On Wavelength: 450 nm - $144 USD

Do you have a supplier you can suggest? Not seeing much on ebay...
