Nikon 40X 0.55 LWD

The lens looks like this: https://i.postimg.cc/qvNSdmyn/Nikon-40-X-0-55-LWD.jpg It slides cylindrically, setting that way the thickness of the glass that should be placed above it. That has the option to set it in the range of 0 to 2 mm. It requires a tube lens of 160 mm. As you can see I`ve placed ...

Re: qDslrDashboard & Zerene Stacker compatibility

The only thing that remains is to connect the second of the 2 HDMI ports of my graphics card to my TV screen, thank you Rik.

qDslrDashboard & Zerene Stacker compatibility

Halo everyone, I have a D850 and a new PC system and I`m trying to get qDslrDashboard and Zerene Stacker to work sideways but when I`m projecting the image from my camera in a dedicated monitor ZS cease to respond. I thought that while using the shortcut keys (ASDF) the rail will move as normal, but...

Re: Equations

In my aims, it is highly possible to play an important role except for the equations the lists containing step sizes too, beyond the list in Zereene Stacker & the Weelmacro one do anybody has in mind any other one? Rik, the second equation is the base of Johan J Ingles-Le Nobel calculator if I recal...

Equations

I am at the starting of a very ambitious project that might take me a lot of time and effort. The only thing I want from you is to contribute your methods/equations/formulas you use to estimate : The magnification The step size Also the DOF ones [if you believe that applies in our kind of microphoto...

I wasn`t informed for your answer Pau, it`s a good idea to leave an aple and once fruit flyes appear to encapsulate over it whith a glass vase in which I`ve firstly put a piece of cotton, with alcohol or acetone, to anesthetize them before the all shooting process.

Question about capturing small insects

Almost all of us have seen the fruit fly portrait in Zereen`s site, where they sow us how to retouch hairs using Zereen`s features. I have the rig but I wonder how they could be able to catch and handle such a small subject. The irony is that, due to the COVID 19, nobody is allowed to come close to ...

It`s been a happy reply from you Pau, have a nice year. It is this exact site I`m watching for a Long time now, I am very pleased to find out from him that Rik`s suggestions on the two Raynoxes are amongst the top-rated ones. It`s been a pleasure to know that this set-up will work. with more to come...

Sigma life size atachment as a tube lens ?

Do you think it will work in an M42 rig? I found this in the net ; http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/5216_Annotation_20200101_110045_1.jpg I have the "life-size attachment" and the adaptors to reduce the diameter of it from M52 to M42. I assume that since I`ll be using less from the diam...

A question about combining methods of macro

I wonder if I place a lens reversed and exactly at its working distance, I attach an objective, would the reversed lens act like an eyepiece to the objective. I mean will the magnification of the reversed lens multiply the objective's one?

A more promising application is to put a filter over the lens to cut that violet light (light yellow usually would do) for detecting the fluorescence of the sample. I suppose you mean to put a yellow filter behind my objective otherwise how can I interfere a filter between a microscope objective an...

Pau, we are posting at the same time. I know the danger, so I`m enclosing it in a pipe sliced as to light only the specimen. Inside the pipe, I'll place a metal sheet for reflection towards the specimen and for protection towards me. I don`t think the reflection on the specimen would have enough pow...

Question Abought UV light.

Does anybody know if the UV light will harm my sensor?
I don`t expect to take advantage of the UV light as I don`t have the proper sensor since I have thought a 375 nm lamp, I`m thinking to experiment with some affordable lenses.
