Shavings

Hi Gang I was working in the shop making some trim material out of Maple, and I noticed an interesting result during the “rip” operation. The Maple shavings were gathering like a town meeting at the edge of the blade insert. Upon inspection, I noticed the material was forming a cotton-ball type clus...

Rare Multiphot parts coming available

Hi everyone

I have the following Nikon Multiphot parts and will be coming available as soon as I can determine a price.

I thought as a first step is to see if anyone is interested.

I can only ship to US and will consider Canada, but import taxes and shipping on the items make it too expensive.

Pau/Rik Another surprise for you. I found the specimen on a neighbor's porch screen. The egg had already developed and broke out of the nest, as the back half is gone, so this poses two key points. The specimen is NOT in its original environment and I am using a small piece of thick watercolor paper...

Hi John I am no expert, but I say try it. These lenses will not replace my high end optics, but they do tend to give good results, at least I think so, as no one else has replied to the post saying anything negative, or to look out for any issues. Part of our group mantra, I hope, is to have fun, so...

Hi John First, the Optem and Navitar zoom lenses I have are "C" mount, male thread. I purchased a C mount to T mount adapter from Edmund Optics, and a T mount to Nikon F mount (body) from B&H photo. I use my Nikon D850 in the studio. I also have a Nikon Z6 and purchased a T mount to Z6 mount for the...

Hover Fly with different lens

Hi Gang I picked up a Optem Zoom 65 lens and A Navitar zoom lens. Both lenses are used in industrial environments, and these came from a electronic component silk screen print machine. Thought I would share several photos using the Optem zoom 65 Mike http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/381...

When the metal is too hard

Gang A machinist friend was tapping into a hard steel cylinder and had a few issues. One failure through the side and one down the center. I do not know what the fibers are. He probably wiped the surface with a cloth. Mike http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/3815_20200522160245ZSretouched_...

Spalted wood - product added

Hi Gang I received a piece of lumber from a friend that was spalted. I used it to make a tote for my shop and her is a close up of the dark lines. Just something a little different. Mike http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/3815_20200522155919ZSretouched_WEB_1.jpg What I made with the wood:...
