Thanks guys, here's a compilation of the other shots I took during this shoot. Surprised I got the "face" somewhat in focus.

Transmitted Light Tardigrade

Found this little guy blocking out the bright field, so I moved my flash to transmit to the top of the stage, didn't know they could be red. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/3080_edit7_1.jpg http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/3080_edit2_1.jpg http://www.photomacrography.net/f...

DIC on the BHS

I have a BHS which I'm looking to get DIC for.. I realize this is a long road.. I just want to make sure I've got the right shopping list: BH-2 UCD with dic prisms appropriate for the objectives I have + 1.25 intermediate piece with a dic prism. Could you also put dic prism on each objective instead...

Certainly appreciate the search Alan,

You wouldn't by any chance have an auction ending in a few days out? All of those were too last minute for me.

Thanks.

Attaching Canon 5d Mk2 to BHS.

Hi all, curious about the options I have in attaching a Canon 5d Mk2 to a BHS, Initially I wanted to take the easy route and obtain an Adapter L, but after a few weeks of searching it seems like everyone is fresh out. Will this work? Seems like a lot for a metal tube? It's linked to from Alan Wood's...

BHS stage slipping down...

Imagine my chagrin after finally getting a hold of a splan apo and a bhs that I find my stage is ever so slowly drifting.. Has anyone ever fixed this? Looking at the bhs repair manual is less than inspiring, I wouldn't know where to start, well.. other than taking apart the coarse/fine adjustment an...

In The Field Algae

Beautiful weather out here, and I got my amscope in a very mobile configuration. (Providing enough sun light..) Of course, I'm very careful not to look through the scope while using the sun as a light source. Anyway, I went to the beach along lake Michigan and started looking at some things. http://...

It appears we have a common acquaintance. I find the four "feet" fascinating.. two near the head, two near the tail.
