Currently using standard diffuser with the Nikon SB700

Is there something better? Or should I just adjust the power?

Yes, can give you a nasty sting from the tail, they hang on with those mandibles and sting with the tail,
I think they inject some kind of acid
They can grow from 8mm to 40mm apparently, this one is about 28mm
Very hard to measure :(

Getting it appart maybe too hard, I think humidity and time may have done its job over many years
