if i am using an infinite objective with a 200mm tube lens ( or 105mm ) would the aperture on the lens have the same effect as the iris you use ? No, it won't. Stopping down the iris inside the tube lens will cause mostly vignetting. To use an iris with a tube lens, the iris needs to go right behin...

happy new year to all in this forum ! i am posting my begginer horizontal set up. i found that working in vertical set up here is a bit more of a pain to look at the camera viewfinder, so i am beggining to shoot horizontal... my set up is very simple, but i think it will work: wood bench, wood block...

my favorite image is the last fly , but i definately don't like to see just one leg in the image... ( for me it would be both or none ... )
