Sorry what's "2x clear image zoom"? :? Chris, "Utilizing Sony’s exclusive By Pixel Super Resolution Technology, Clear Image Zoom increases the effective focal length of your lens up to 2x by digitally magnifying the center of your image with nearly imperceptible degradation. It virtually doubles th...

Jack, By coincidence, I found myself browsing the Rage Cams website today. They have some interesting lenses down to 1.2mm that may or may not be applicable to your project (which is being closely watched 8)) http://ragecams.com/shop/index.php http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLGg0yM1Uec or possibly ...

http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17069&start=0 My confusion is your use of the term "relay" but then you show a photo of your setup which (as far as I can tell) is just a bunch of extension tubes. Care to confirm? Thanx! Michael Michael, Part #5 from the setup is an adapter tha...

Chris, My sony A350 has an image sensor with the size of 23.6 x 15.8 mm. My relay setting gives me about 7X camparing to 1:1 macro lens. Thanks for your suggestion. I will think about the 4x/0.2 approach. Those bugs were very close to the front lens, usually about 10mm. Normally people can easily ge...

Phil, This is a CCTV lens. Sunex has another lens of 1.1mm, but with worse distortion. With the feature of ultra short focal length on CCTV lens, deep DOF is achievalbe. However, its image circle is too small. For example, my 1.96mm CCTV lens has an image circle of only 5.6mm. Therefore, we need a s...

Rik, Shotting the ruler, the 100mm macro on 1:1 with Sony A350 gives us 22.5mm and Jml21mm with 72mm tubes gives us 3.3mm, which is about 7x (22.5/3.3). With this magnification of relay, I just physically measured the angle of view, that is about 105 degree. In the previous thread I mentioned that I...
