May be Haematococcus pluvialis.

Hello Robert,

I think the orange spheres of fig 2 are the result of sexual reproduction. Fertilised eggs with a double membrane.
A nice image, much nicer than daughter colonies in my opinion.

Re: Chydorus sphaericus

Thank you for sharing this nice image.
It is not the most common Chydorus sphaericus. On the right side of the carapax there are a lot of dots: var. caelatus.

Re: Ceriodaphnia and Scapholeberis

Thanks for sharing this nice images.
I think this Scapholeberis is S. rammneri, much less common than S. mucronata.
Distinguishing mark are the stripes on the distal part of the carapax.

Re: Ceriodaphnia in DIC

Nice image of not Ceriodaphnia but Simocephalus, probably S. vetulus or S. expinosus.

With the reticulated carapace, I'd incline more towards something like Alonella excisa...
Thanks! Yes, Alonella seem more alike.
I also think it is Alonella excisa. It is a male.

This water flea I think is Euricercus lamellatus.
