Hi Mike, i moved in the meantime and also finished the UFOMI to be used as a bare instrument of joy. I have given away 7 little black ones and a huge box with materials of typical basic microscopic background. I have donated my whole machinepark to a young girl - toolmaker. New plans are: doing some...

Hi Iain, thank you for your explanation. Your wilderness manual stacking is something entirely different, thann we Lou and me are talking and thinking about. I would even say it is a combination from stacking and stitching. The alignment process while stacking is for my understanding sort of automate...

Yes Lou, one has to try it and every reliable method found, will win as the users personal best. In my thoughts i was watchin you turning that good old focusring. To move a little in 4 or 5 secconds may be one of the rising problems ? The speedsetting for that focusmotor wouldd be a nice and helpful...

Hi Lou, Rather than leaning into the subject while taking videos, as Lothar suggests, it would actually be better to try to keep the lens front stationary and change focus while videoing. That might be a route to nice stacks of live (but temporarily stationary) subjects. I am eager to try this! ____...

Hi Iain, let me guess, my idea to do it is slowly bending the Mono or tripod toward the object while taking a video and stack those frames. But anyway would it be interesting to hear from Iain how it was taken. My question: was the wasp alive. Its hard to believe, to have no movement of that body fo...

Hi Paul, thank you for that link! I imediately found my self thinking of "stealth equipment" while looking at the Thyrolida. Using zerene in the wild, i think at your mantis examples, i would ask you to try an experiment. If one of your cams has videooption, you could place it on a tripod and focus ...
