Topic: Why do I get image corruption?

I just noticed this topic. I had a similar thing, photos occasionally corrupted (they looked like yours). This happened after it had worked fine for a couple weeks. This was a Nikon D810 hooked up to a custom build PC. I ended up plugging into a USB2 port rather than the USB3 and it has worked perfe...

I expect that's a lot more than I can get done this week, though.
I have faith in you! :D

Thanks for doing this, it will certainly improve my overnight computations.

Thanks for adding this Rik! I ran it last night on a stack and oddly the slabs disappeared and the project was not saved. This morning I ran it again and it saved the slabs correctly and I saved the project manually just to be sure. My workflow has been to Align and Stack All (P{Max) in Batch. Reloa...

I shoot with a Nikon D810 on a Stackshot controlled be Zerene and also tethered to a PC. I use ControlMyNikon for live view and setting controls on the camera. I hate this program! It will not display the full frame view when in Live View and the aperture and exposure comp. spontaneously change (tha...

An excellent set of images Rik! When I was working at the Oregon Dept of Agriculture I performed the imaging for a research project looking at egg parsitoid wasps in the genus Trissolcus . Trissolcus japonicus ultimately looked like the best bio-control candidate for brown marmorated stink bug, Haly...

First test with a 50mm Rodenstock APO

I forgot I had this lens until recently. Now I'm really glad I kept all the equipment from my darkroom days. An adapter ring finally arrived from China to reverse mount the Rodenstock on my 200mm Micro-Nikkor. http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/userpix/200_Pachydiplaxlongipennismaleheadant36x1024...

Nikon and Canon build great cameras and lenses, but they are not particularly good at programming software, in my opinion.

Dragonfly Eggs Hatching

I had been trying to photograph and capture video of the complete process of eggs hatching for several days without success. I had 25 eggs in a well slide and caught the 1st egg close to the start, but then many eggs started hatching so I got multiple sequences. In this shot you can see unhatched eg...
