Re: PZO PhZ question(s)

SmokeDaddy~ Did you ever end up making/modifying a centerable aftermarket led or fit one onto the PZO OH1 for the Biolar? Pm'd you~ Nope, I've been to busy with numerous other projects. As I mentioned in the PM, all I seem to do nowadays is work on scopes and never use them. I did find the s...

Using that feature in Zerene, artifacts, fixing the blurring on hairs, etc. I've never figured out how to use it, so I simply don't. #-o
Hhmm... I'm still puzzled.

No need to be puzzled Rik. I just learn better from videos.

Someday I'd like to see a nice clear video of that process in Zerene.
Which process are you asking about?

Re: AI is coming to microscopy

Very nice, as usual. I've been experimenting as well and was very impressed with my results. Have you tried generating a 3D image and 3D printing the Ai AI-generated model? You might be surprised by the results.

Re: Gigapixel Image setup

For what it's worth, all Nikon toolmakers objectives are of telecentric design. I've been very happy using them, however I've only used them with an APS-C camera. Or if you can find one, maybe a Qioptiq Mag.x LD Plan Apo 5x for your FF sensor. https://www.closeuphotography.com/nikon-3x-measuring-mic...

Re: Ferrite Magnetic Core Memory

Nice images and a fascinating subject. Have you looked up the specs? To my knowledge, the Ferrite Core Memory Plate was manufactured in the USSR in the 1960s. One 1 ferrite core is slightly less than 1mm in diameter = 1 bit, so a 64x64 core memory plate stores 4096 bits of data. Here's a somewhat d...

Ferrite Magnetic Core Memory

I'm experimenting with a new setup: my Wild M400 stereoscope. I'm not quite there yet with my setup, but I'm getting close. This is a shot of a Ferrite Magnetic Core Memory I bought several decades ago. If you want to know how it works, I've attached an excellent video link. We've come a long way in...

Re: 3D printer talk

If I recall correctly, I started 3D printing in 2012 via a Kickstarter printer called Robo R1. It has been a valuable tool for me, even though I once had a complete home machine shop. At this point in time, my favorite printer would be one of the Bambu Labs printers. Well within your budget if you'r...

Re: Removing a knob

Old thread, but I probably screwed something up by doing this. I need to find some specific directions (no guesswork) on adjusting the tension on both the fine and coarse knobs. Hard to believe how stupid I can be sometimes. I have both the Polyvar MET and Polylite SC all working along with a DSLR c...
