Re: Options on a Nikon Optiphot stand

...I need some help/ideas please with adding an adhoc bottom lighting option with condenser to a Nikon Optiphot Epi Stand. Similar like this ? (I used it for the different purpose). You could use without heat sink, by attaching directly to the frame (which will work as a heat sink) COB used - https...

Re: Firebug nymph

That separation is only part of the StereoPhoto Maker window. If you change the window size, the gap will change. If you zoom in so that only part of each image appears, the gap will shrink to a narrow black bar. Whatever it is on screen, this gap always disappears when SPM saves images. Do you wan...

Re: Firebug nymph

Stereo as shown looks good. I see a couple of minor artifacts, but the layout and separation are good. I don't understand your question about StereoPhotoMaker. Can you describe the problem in more detail? --Rik Thanks Rik ! Red arrows - is there some way to adjust this separation between L/R photos...

Re: are 3d resin printers good for us?

Hi everybody, those days I was looking for a 3D printer having in mind to do the one or other part for photo macrography. I discovered that resin printers like an Elegoo Saturn or Anycubic Photon Mono X became affordable solutions (around 500-600 €) and should be able to produce fine threads like R...

This could be useful:

It will help with twisted stepper cable, using coarse knob

And I'm using double shaft stepper - it allows you to have fine knob on both sides

Re: Onion

Very interesting article from Quekett (thanks to jmp from Microbehunter), which confirms some my findings. It will answer John's (Dolmadis) question also. Cut my acrylic plate using blade saw and designed new fixture. Appears it was wasted time and efforts - 12mm thick plate was too thick - trying t...

Thanks for the additional info!

So, one stressed plate below the condenser, and the other above the objective?

Re: Onion

Saul, the Sanderson prism stuff is totally new to me. I've had a quick read through the paper you referenced, but I have to confess that I'm still unclear on how to adapt the technique for use with macro/micro optics. Can you provide some more information about that? What did you have to do, to mak...
