Once I made a reverse adapter with cable, inspired by that expensive Novoflex thing. I disassembled 2 12mm Kenko extension rings, modified the electrical contacts, and the springs. Agree with the folks about the lighting. Extreme clean work, I really like it. The beetle is a Buprestis aurulenta (Buprestidae - Jewel beetles). The stereo works very well, enjoyed it

A couple of months ago I took a promise to Craig Gerard on posting a new topic about my work below. These studio focus stacks were made at the end of last winter, when I was extremely hungry of field work. My Mitutoyo was new, so decided to take a set of stacks about several particulars of the body....

Amazing stack, Geir! These flies are always exciting subjects in such high magnification. I have a similar, but another species.
