The Mother of all Macro Stands

Imagine lugging this up 3 flights of stairs, only to be confronted by the Warden. Enought to scare me away, but for some of you braver souls, I can't imagine a more permanent fixture in your fun room.
Originally from a toolmakers scope, this thing is massive to a fault. Made in Germany, don't you know.
I am not young enough to know everything.

That reminds me a little of the stand for my milling machine. But I think the mill is more lightly built!

If I lived near enough to will call this thing, I'd be tempted...there is simply no substitute for pure raw mass for absorbing vibration! But at 182 LBS the freight charges would likely be more expensive than the stand (same issue I'm having finding a large, stable aluminum optical breadboard). And I'd need a buddy to move this thing safely.
