One year later, another sample on eBay, much higher priced than desirable IMO, but it's a fairly rare item:

This is the main photoadapter I use;

...and now another one, but maybe expensive and just for USA buyers

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carl-Zeiss-Micr ... 5af28d7ed0

The complete setup for sale is for some Axios but the camera adapter itself also fits on 40mm external phototube of some Standard and Universal models.
I'ts the one I use in my Zeiss Standard

Now there are two for sale in Germany but (IMO) at unreasonable prices:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zeiss-Mikroskop ... 5663e357f6

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zeiss-Mikroskop ... 5664be7f8a

I think you can made the same with the MC63 camera lens and some brico to mount a dslr on it, the main problem could be its big diameter colliding with the bulit in camera flash if present (this is the adapter that Wim uses)

Hi Pau
yes I had seen this. There is a couple of german shops that always have outrageous prices (including dic stuff) . Don't know if they do sell at this level.
i will look at the MC3 solution.
In the mean time I will try a 2X Lens teleconverter and some M42 extensions

Protos,
take a look at this old post:
http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... 05ef5fe5c4
note that the M35 adapter actually refers to the MC63 lens/shutter and M35 is the detachable 35mm film body.
What camera do you use?

I use a Canon EOS 700D

I has found a system:
T2 ring
a 2x chinese projective
and a 44mm Zeiss adaptor:
Image

Although I get perfect parafocality I am not satisfied with picture quality. It seems that I should get an infinite projective: dunno where to find that: I amnot able to differentiate finite from infinite projectives

I just found a link saying that I should set the camera on infinte mode: no Idea what that means.

What kind of issues are you experiencing?. Sample images would help.
Take a look at this post:

I don't know if your adapter is the same, but "chinese 2.5" raises alarm bells.

The best for your Axio will be the original Zeiss projective P2.5 (perfect for FF, a bit too crop for APSC):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carl-Zeiss-phot ... 46208a27ae (this one seems expensive, I've seen it for less money in the past)

Another good option will be afocal. Please feel free to ask more info about.

finally I just put my Canon at the exit of the phototube (which is in fact a box for axiophot)
much neater image and a larger focal view
Zeiss Axiophot, transmitted and Fluorescence

So now you're not using any relay lens. If I understand well you're doing direct projection of the objective/tube lens primary image onto the sensor, am I right?, and what you tell larger focal view is referring to larger field

If that primary image covers well the sensor and the image is parfocal with the eyepieces IMO this is the best method for full corrected microscopes objectives (like Nikon CF and CFI and recent Olympus UIS) or systems with corrective tube lenses (like I think is the case with your infinite Zeiss) in most cases, just with some subjets you could like some more magnification.

Pau yes indeed larger field
:)
thank you for correcting my poor photolanguage.
I just wish I could find a way to "fix" my DSLR to the exit (44mm)
I may use my 44 mm adapter (as pictured above)
also I wish I could use electronic magnification to take pictures; I can only use it to focus (and it works well). I am using the EOS control software that came with my Canon
Zeiss Axiophot, transmitted and Fluorescence
BK5000, Transmitted and CP

I have the opportunity to purchase it (ref 456021) for 100€; now my question is how to I adapt my Canon on top of it ?
It would fit in my 44C phototube add-on but I have no idea how to add my DSLR on top; Must I purchase as well the ref 456029 ? (not even sure that would fit with this projective)
