Thanks Rik - I'll keep in mind your pointers as I move along. I have ZS so I will try Pmax and Dmax stacks and see what transpires.
As I understand it the testa is the large structure or seed coat and the smaller object it encapsulates is the embryonic seed .

Those scopes are made by C.Reidhert in Vienna. They are very high quality.Will this kind of surgery work on most microscopes?
