You chose a very difficult subject for a stack shot:
I have just begun stacking too:
I have found that if the camera is hand held...it is important to concentrate on keeping the central viewfinder circle as stationary as humanly possible whilst rocking gently back and forth to get the stack focus right along the body of your subject......three to six frames can be enough.......more if you are using a steady tripod........and...........I guess......lots more if your subject is dead or frozen and you are using a studio rack system:
