Hi team,
My seven year-old Dell computer is behaving increasingly erratically and showing distinct signs of old age. No amounts of threats from me are improving matters - it has to go! Unusually and fortunately I have funds for a replacement. With an upgrade in hardware I will probably upgrade from Windows XP to Windows7 (64 bit).
I use a Canon A640 for photomicrography and use the remote shooting facility via the 'EOS utility' on my computer. A major concern for me is that this might not work on Windows 7. It is unclear to me from the Canon website whether my current software will work, or I will need a software upgrade, or even if an upgrade is available. I have emailed Canon customer support and wait for an answer. However, I thought that someone here might be able to provide some guidance or alternative solutions (if there is indeed a problem).
I am technologically challenged, so please use simple language!
TIA
Brian
