Inspired by the recent ice shots from Brian, and finding an interesting lump of ice in a bowl in the garden today I had a go at shooting some close ups. Boy is ice hard to shoot! Out of a card full of shots I've so far got one I'm happy with and another couple that I might be able to make something with...
This was at 2:1 magnification on a 4/3 sensor so vertical fov is around 10mm. Stack of 6 images, hand held, in the sink... (stacked with Zerene pmax, and a bit of retouching)

Like it Laurie - it's quite fascinating stuff. Still not sure how the cellular like structures form but think it's something to do with freezing and thawing.
