Rhododendron anthers at 10x

Post by LordV »

Getting slightly better at controlling focus movement manually with my 10x setup. Taken inside on a table top. Some zerene stacked shots of a rhododendron anther (one of my rhodies thinks it's Spring). Stacks are around 14-20 shots. last shot is a cross-eye stereogram using two focus stacks. The pollen grains appear to be slightly trilobate at this mag and are around 50um in dia.

The stereo view shows a bit of shimmer on the top of that rear anther, but for handheld, these are astonishing!

Thanks Rik :)
Yes I had to do a bit of repair on one of the shots used in the 3-D which shows :)
Just got to see if I can do the same motion control outside now :)

Thanks again for the comments :)
I was pleasantly suprised on the IQ from the fairly cheap objective lens but the DOF (or lack of it) does take some getting used to.
